When I tried to click on an mp3 to put it in a Scratch project, it made a computer-y bleep-y glitchy sound that seemed completely unrelated to the sound, and this happened:
(the blacked out thing is the name of my computer, just in case)
When I clicked OK or closed it, it closed Scratch (without saving).
The file I was trying to open was 9.08 MB, or 9,523,719 bytes, if that helps. I have Windows Vista on a Dell laptop. I downloaded it from here: http://www.vikingguitar.com/ at "music", at the bottom. It works fine on iTunes, and other sounds that are also mp3's work as usual. I thought it probably has something to do with the amazingly huge size of it.
Has this ever happened to anyone else? I couldn't find anything else on it.

Huge music files have a tendency to make Scratch crash. I got that same error when trying to import a 7-min file into Scratch (a 11 MB file).
If you don't need the whole music file, use a music editor to make the file smaller (snip out the parts you don't need) and then import into Scratch. Or, if you need the whole music file, break it up into smaller files and then import those smaller files into Scratch.
