Maybe you should start bringing your own entertainment...not a laptop, but marbles and cards are a lot of fun.  Or maybe one of those folding cloth frisbees or a small rubber ball.  We never had supplied equipment when I was in school - so we brought our own.  Or just played various forms of tag.

That's a good idea--It irks me, though, at our elementary school we were low on basketballs and stuff and we weren't allowed to bring toys. We couldn't even play tag because we'd "get hurt".
Then in my last year there, we weren't allowed to stand around in groups talking. I have no idea why. I guess they thought we were conspiring against the school. We just had to play with the lame school equipment they had

Same with me! We can't bring a pencil since the Special Ed 'Supervisors' (Not the teacher, the teacher's nice) say we'll fall and stab ourselves. They won't let us have sharp pencils in class and then get our teacher mad at us for not having a sharp pencil! We can't get in the huge monster truck tires (playground equipment, BTW.) because she claims Brown Recluse spiders and Black Widows live in the tiny tenth of an inch cracks. The only spiders in there are harmless—oh wait, no, there ARE no spiders. Then they say there are basilisks and cobras inside the tires and that a boy died from a snake bite there. I mean, seriously?!?!?!?!?!?

Or how about math, When will I ever need to know how to solve an equation without finding the variable? School is made just to fill your head with random facts. And things that would actually be useful in life like programming aren't even considered by the school system to be taught.

I did forget to mention that my school doesn't have recess. Just lunch.
I'm fine with that.

One time, a kid ate a glue stick in my class. I'm in 6th grade. My school is nearly all nerds and idiots, no wonder why there's a ton of bullies.
