That sounds very annoying. Is it that they don't have room for more than 3 classes at a time on the playground?
Maybe you should start bringing your own entertainment...not a laptop, but marbles and cards are a lot of fun. Or maybe one of those folding cloth frisbees or a small rubber ball. We never had supplied equipment when I was in school - so we brought our own. Or just played various forms of tag. That's a good idea--It irks me, though, at our elementary school we were low on basketballs and stuff and we weren't allowed to bring toys. We couldn't even play tag because we'd "get hurt".
Then in my last year there, we weren't allowed to stand around in groups talking. I have no idea why. I guess they thought we were conspiring against the school. We just had to play with the lame school equipment they had
I'm so glad I'm out of there

Same with me! We can't bring a pencil since the Special Ed 'Supervisors' (Not the teacher, the teacher's nice) say we'll fall and stab ourselves. They won't let us have sharp pencils in class and then get our teacher mad at us for not having a sharp pencil! We can't get in the huge monster truck tires (playground equipment, BTW.) because she claims Brown Recluse spiders and Black Widows live in the tiny tenth of an inch cracks. The only spiders in there are harmless—oh wait, no, there ARE no spiders. Then they say there are basilisks and cobras inside the tires and that a boy died from a snake bite there. I mean, seriously?!?!?!?!?!?
Not finished... BRB

I admit, there will be hardships. But there's so many things to learn, things that are very important! Instead of thinking about the cons, think of the good things!

Good things like how they have you do homework the entire night, How about the forgetting to tell us about a project until the day before its due, Goodthings like those? Important things to learn? When will I ever take a look at a sentence and say to myself whether its compound or complex? When will I really ever need to know how to spell? Almost everything is typed now, and spell check is getting better and better. I mean the basic words are good to know, but words where the definition is shorter then the word itself? Or how about math, When will I ever need to know how to solve an equation without finding the variable? School is made just to fill your head with random facts. And things that would actually be useful in life like programming aren't even considered by the school system to be taught.

No fair! We have 7 minutes between classes to navigate our huge campus and a 30 minute lunch...
But on topic, I'm sorry your school is being weird about recess...There are some equipment-less games you might be able to play. Ninja, perhaps? Of course, that includes "hitting." You could try googling some games to play.

One time, a kid ate a glue stick in my class. I'm in 6th grade. My school is nearly all nerds and idiots, no wonder why there's a ton of bullies.

I'm fine with that.
So'm I. It was considerably less noisy at recess, though.

As terribly unintelligent and spoiled as some people on this topic are acting, you guys are very lucky, because in my middle school, there is no recess, or playtime. Only classes, and lunch.

So, my new school installed a new rule: "No more then 3 classes at the same time allowed for recess." So, when we got into Recess yesterday, There were ALREADY 3 Classes there! Want the catch? My teacher owes us FIVE HOURS Of Recess!
We had recess though, but It was like a prision yard. There was nothing to do, and we didn't even have a ball.
And a bunch of other people are going crazy TOO. (Did I Mention recess is the ONLY Part of school I like?) But they won't take away the rule, no matter how much people complained.
Discuss.
Some of us don't have recess. For me, recess is PE. And there's hardly anyone in PE.
Thankfully, we have rolling chairs in PE.
