One time, we called somebody and said "Ma'am, please adopt a child from our orphanage" in a very high-pitched voice.
The person on the other line was a buff man with a deeeeeep voice.

My sister and her friend - our neighbor - prank called me once. Mom gave me the phone, saying it was my friend Owen. (Mom wasn't in on the joke.) When I said 'hi', my sister was like "Hahahahaha it's me!" and I looked at my neighbors' window and there my sister and neighbor were. 
Minecraft, Redwall, and Cyberchase fan, and PROUD.

So do I. Actually, my friend Owen is a girl, so I think it's especially cool.

Earlier, my friend - the brother of my sister's friend - and I tried to prank call my dad(It was my friend's idea, he's only 6!) but Dad recognized the caller ID.

The deal with prank calls is that even though they are really funny, there's a line between okay and really not okay.
I can easily see that calling a trusted relative is okay. And maybe even a quick call to Wallmart. But when you get really serious and get people to support you, you can start doing out of hand things. At a certain point, you could be breaking the law.
My advice is keep it between you and your family members
