Taking things apart

I really enjoy taking things apart, recently, I salvaged around 5 little brushed motors from a DVD player as well as a magnet and a magnifying lens that was attached on the laser. couldn't salvage the laser though  tongue

I have an obsession with taking things apart. Give me anything broken and I'll salvage something from it  tongue

Re: Taking things apart

I do that a lot, I got the addiction from a game called EVE online where you can attach a salvage laser to your ship when docked and it means you can salvage spare parts from ships you've destroyed. It taught me that throwing away stuff is useless and it's best to get whatever you can from it before rendering it completely useless. I do it to computers, old toys (like my old computer guided missile launcher thing) and things with loads of lights.

Re: Taking things apart

My dad says he'll let me take apart a used hard drive to see how it works.

Re: Taking things apart

I had to open my fuzz effect pedal recently to see what was wrong with it, if that counts.  tongue  I also took apart a toy microphone once but I didn't know what to do with it D:
