I really want to work on my writing, so I need to take a little bit of time from Scratch. I will come around every now and again, but I really want to do this.
Bye, y'all! I'll miss you.
Having trouble clicking that X... but I must! For writing!

Of course I will (don't take that the wrong way, I'm not upset)! I can't write at the moment. I found out that I write about 600 words per hour (maybe even more words if I would stop taking breaks )!

Post us a preview of your writing!
“Well, he looks nice.” Leah, a new girl at Murphy Middle School, said as she walked into the band room. Leah was wearing the school uniform, a black shirt with the school logo over her heart and a khaki skirt. She was dressed up for picture day, with her long brown hair done in a braid. She had many freckles on her face, long eyelashes, and glassy blue eyes. She saw a balding, gray haired man wearing a sea foam green shirt and deep blue jeans. He was greeting new students into his band class. Leah already felt comfortable. She had band class first period, and she was excited. She inhaled deeply and walked up to the band teacher.
“Hello! My name is Mr. Harris, but you can call me Mr. H. And you are?” Mr. H smiled and held out his hand in friendship.
“Oh, why hello, Mr. H! My name is Leah. I’m really excited to play in your band.” Leah blushed a little and shook Mr. H’s hand.
“Hello, Leah. I’m excited that you’re here! Do you know what you want to play?”
“I barely know what a clarinet is!” The two left. Leah noticed that Mr. H had very big dimples.
“Well then, I guess you’re lucky to have such an awesome band teacher that shows you all the instruments! Go sit down, Leah.” Leah walked off to sit next to her identical twin sister, Mindy.
“Wow, Mr. H is awesome!” Leah said.
“I know,” replied Mindy. “I went to open house while you were sick. I met him there. He told me that this whole class is made up of beginner band members.”
“Wow!” Leah exclaimed.
“Yep, there are different classes. One for beginners, another for intermediate, one for advanced, and another for marching band.”
“That’s pretty cool.”
“He also told me—“ Mr. H cut Mindy off.
“Hello class! I am your teacher, Mr. Harris, but you can call me Mr. H. As some of you may already know, this class is completely made up of beginner band members. This is going to be a very fun year for you, and I hope that you want to continue doing band this year. Now, does anybody know what they would like to play?” Nobody raised their hands. “OK, that’s fi—“ Mr. H stopped talking. He saw a hand being slowly raised. The hand was Mindy’s.
“Mindy? I thought you didn’t know what to play.” Leah whispered to Mindy.
“What would you like to play, Mindy?” Mr. H said
“Uh, well, I was thinking of maybe I could play a...” Mindy’s voice got smaller as she spoke. “clarinet?”
“A what?”
“A... clarinet.”
“Ah! A clarinet! You’ll be the first to come up, then.”
“Um... OK.” Mindy blushed as she went up to the front of the room. Mr. H left to grab a clarinet. As he was pulling the clarinet case of the shelf, he said, “The clarinet is a pretty complicated instrument. There are many fingerings to learn,” Mr. H returned with a clarinet case and a box of reeds. He handed both to Mindy. “You should hold the clarinet like so,” Mr. H took out the clarinet and showed the class how to hold it. “Hand me a reed please, Mindy.” Mindy handed Mr. H a reed and, with a ”thank you”, he slid the reed into the mouthpiece and put together the beautiful wooden instrument.
