How do you make great art?

i am horrible at making pictures with a mouse, but i am great at drawing with pencil and paper.  I see all the drawings that MaskedStar and kaotheragooncreator make and i really dont think they could make that with a mouse (unless they are THAT skilled) so I was wondering if there is a device that they use to make the drawings so good.

Also if you say that i could just scan my drawings, i can't because my pencil marks are too light

Thanks 4 helping!

Re: How do you make great art?

[/blocks]The best way is probably with a tablet, it's something you plug into your computer that has a flat surface and a fake pen, and you can draw over the flat part and it moves the mouse to where the pen is. I think that's how MaskedStar and kaotheroogoncreator make their drawings.

I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.

also, they might not be using scratch to draw. If you want really great drawings try a soft wear like gimp (free), or fire works (costs quite alot), and import it into scratch

buy a darker pencil? no seriously, graphic tablets are not as easy to handle (or as cheap cost wise) as pencils

You could use Paint.NET as well. It's a pretty good program, and it's free, although not as powerful as GIMP (but simpler).

About the device- You could use gimp or something: It's better at drawing.
Or if you scan a good thing to make the pencil marks more visible is to scan it and then use another drawing programme to trace the pencil lines. That SHOULD work.

*Cough* If you do want to use Adobe fireworks, you can patch the trial version file and get it free  big_smile  *cough*

But I personally like GIMP better  tongue
