Web Browser

I want to make a web browser in Claw, and I need your help. It might be pretty slow, due to the nature of Scratch and it's mods, but it would be pretty cool. It will be text only. I need people who have Claw, unless they think they can help with the parts that are only parsing. Allow me to post the beta on Mod Share before work begins.

Re: Web Browser

I'll help.
I was actually going to do something like this on Panther, except it doesn't browse the open web.  It would browse a sort of "Panther network".  Anyway, I'll join.

the latest. I'm not sure exactly. I've been working on a beta, but there is a problem. It parses the HTML, but doesn't report it. I might use a different solution. I don't have access to claw, 'cause of thanksgiving.

Re: Web Browser

bump. i think i have a better solution. It should store the html to a list, then parse it.

My good friend Frowned successfully created his own web server using Scratch, and would be able to help you with the programming. If you would like, I can contact him and see if he'd be willing to help.

I did not create a web browser (i made a simple html fetcher), although i could if i wanted to, however honestly my best recommendation is to not use claw but to use python for the web-client and remote sensor connections to transfer the data and render the page in BYOB(Build Your Own Blocks) while running it in turbo mode (because otherwise it would be really freaking slow), as for writing a web client in python there is a good tutorial at about.com here: http://python.about.com/od/networkingwi … client.htm

Edit:
Use this to transfer the data to scratch:
