I agree.
Maybe you should comment on Lightnin's project(s) so he'll notice.

Oh, wait, that's a sausage.

I'm still a new scratcher, so I can't edit my first comment to make a list of supporters.

I have a better idea. You guys all said trolls would just edit out their comments, right? Well, how about we add editing for the main site, except you can only edit it for a maximum of 1 hour after you post it. (30 minutes is fine too) Then, trolls can't keep their bad comments on the site. If the comment remained bad, it would be easy to flag and delete. If they edited their comment to make it look good, it would be okay because they can't change it again after the time limit. Besides, you can still flag it anyway.
So, wouldn't this be a good idea?

What's the difference between editing a comment and editing a forum thread? Trolls could do more on the forums then on comments.

Trust me, I think the ability to edit a comment would do it justice.

When something gets reported it should send a copy of the message to the Scratch team along with the comment, that way they'll still be banned if they change it.

Yea, I know, but you can edit the comments on the TBG (Text Based Games) forums. I hope to become a Scratcher soon so I can edit the comments.

Yup. We should be able to edit comments on our own projects.

For goodness sakes, the ST does look at suggestions, just because an ST member doesn't reply to every single one of them doesn't mean they're not looking.
