Lol, I should see if our computer club would be willing to host MC servers to raise money. I'd host one, if you are willing to pay 
I have a computer with 3 gigs of RAM available.
I do want payment, though. We can discuss more, I can set up a web site with a PayPal thing, I could set up a donation system where each (set amount of money) donated would get 1 month of hosting, that way you could pay for it yourself for security and others could donate to help the server. I think there are some Bukkit plugins that allow people to buy items with real money and get them in-game, we could do that for unobtainable items such as fire or portals.
