Who knows where the saying 'slow and steady wins the race' originated?
Edit: I'm probably giving away the answer too soon, but I'm just plain bored (see my 'does anyone else have no life right now?' thread). Here's the answer.
"It does not matter how slowly you go along, so long as you do not stop." - Confucius
I've taken some interest to the wisdom of Confucius. Other quotes include:
"When we meet a man of worth, we should try to equal him. When we meet a man of contrary character, we should look inwards and examine ourselves."
"The superior man is modest in his speech but exceeds in his actions."
"To study but not to think is labor lost. To think and not to study is dangerous."
"In archery, we are like the superior man: when an archer misses, he turn round and looks for the reason of his failure in himself."

The Tortoise and the Hare.
Surely you've heard that story before.
Wrong!
Yes, of course I've heard it.

Um... I absoloutely don't agree with that saying... it's more of
First to get to the finish line wins the race
or
The guy with Nitrous booster on his car wins the race

Alright, I gave the answer. I suppose that this'll turn into a Confucius thread now.

Darn..... we were learning about early Chinese culture in class a few weeks ago... >_<
If a ruler is upright, than all will go well without orders. If a ruler is not upright, nothing shall go well even if orders are given.

lol. I'm doing modern history, unfortunately. I started with the Italian Renaissance and went on to Europe, and the colonization of the Americas. Hey, are you guys in the same school?

It's a very strange saying, I don't think it goes too well for races though.

No. If Wickimen was, she'd know about the cinnamon bun incident and the name of the person who caused it. xD

Probably not. I'm more up-to-date with the newspaper comics than what's happening around school
