What the next version of scratch needs is a new layout built specifically for netbooks, one that would support a 1024X600 resolution screen size (yes, that's only a 8.6 inch size screen). It gets really hard to look at my sprites that are in my project, and presentation mode isn't really in presentation mode. I think it's easier to show some pics, so...

In case your interested, mine's a Acer Aspire One netbook, and it's blue, w/ a resolution of 1024X600 monitor size.

I also think that the scrip editing pane needs to also (for this resolution only) to always have the vertical scroll bar on.

Yeah, I too am trying to use Scratch on a 1024x600 netbook, with great pain and suffering.
All the screen needs to do is scroll. If I could scroll, I'd be fine. But stufff that doesn't fit and has no way to be viewed, is a real bummer.

The good news is that one of the primary goals of the next release of Scratch is to run on these small screen machines so hang in there!

The release is in Beta testing now...I would think it would be pretty soon.
