I think so, but I'm not gonna get in a giant discussion about a building game.

I agree with you, servers should not be allowed to be shared.
The server topics aren't the problem, but more of the IP address.
I'm gonna have to go with andres-vander on this one...

MC.
No, I'm pretty sure it's MP.
Or did it just change to Multi-Cplayer without me knowing?

I think RPG games should be banned from scratch, have you ever been hit with a sword? It's horrible.
Scratch team, ban RPG games from Scratch.

You can't make choices based on annoyance. Minecraft servers don't link to stuff, you get an IP. Almost all servers have either rules about language or a language filter plugin. Also, its only the Minecraft community that play it also, you don't have to click it if you don't play Minecraft.
Also, why is Minecraft a hostile environment? This. People can't have their servers cluttered in one single topic. So if Someone says:

*reads opening post.* Oh, the swearing is your problem. There are plugins that can censor those kinds of words.
I'm not telling the Scratch Team to make one big official topic, I'm asking them to get rid of all of the Server Topics altogether. Minecraft Discussion? Fine. Leading Scracthers to servers? Not on my watch
The swearing isn't my problem so much as the chatting is.
Inappropriate chatting I assume? If so then that's not allowed on most servers. And even on Scratch, people can break the rules and stuff so I don't see what is so different about mc, it's not like you can't swear or anything on Scratch...

Same thing, I disagree with something so I think that everything like that should be removed.
Servers have rules, if you disagree with them don't play on it.

I do, but there's no risk of someone swearing in singleplayer.

It's called Report. Sometimes. It's also called command+Q, or the little red X button.

'scuse me sir. Ever been on Phoenix Survival? Oh, you haven't? The fact we have logs, and whenever I go on I look over them. And many people are banned. We have admins on all day sir. So if you will kindly not scrutinize about my server.

Yeah, PS hardly has anyone swearing, and when they do they usually get banned or warned.
You just went on a bad server or one with no mods online.

Yes, this is a suggestion, I am posting it in Miscellaneous first so that it gets some attention. There's also this thread in Miscellaneous that explains that we can't link to offsite places with chat areas. Guess what every MC server has? Chat boxes. And that's not the end of it. I joined a Scratcher's server using a friend's account (only after he practically begged me to try it, I still don't really care for it too much) and about a few minutes after I logged in, several scratches were harassing me and claiming I ruined some of their buildings. They provided no reasoning except that I was new. And I won't name names but these people were 13 years olds and stuff, and they were dropping some f-bombs. Minecraft is not only a hostile environment, it breaks the Scratch Approved offsite rules. I don't see why they haven't even been considered to be banned until now. I'm holding out hope that there's a topic in the secret moderator forums discussing this or something.
You make a good point - we do try to protect our members from ending up in a "inappropriate" environment too easily from Scratch. The key words there, are "too easily". It's my understanding that it takes a bit of know-how, and sometimes an invitation, to join up with a MC server. That makes it difficult enough that it's unlikely that an inexperienced Scratcher is going to end up on one by accident.
We decided that MC servers were not something we were going to attempt to manage at this time. Thanks for the suggestion though - and if you have specific experiences with particular servers that you think would change our minds, please feel free to contact us at help@scratch.mit.edu.

Not that MC servers have any problems that I have seen (and I'm an admin on 3)

In order to join most you need to apply to be on the whitelist, if you don't agree with the rules don't join.

I dont think the forums should be filled with minecraft. Or the main page. Why doesnt scratch just have one big topic and gallery bout minecraft so no one gets upset about mc literally everywhere on scratch.

The swearing isn't my problem so much as the chatting is.
I go on a server with a max of 90 people. Chatting becomes a huge problem when over 80 are online and I can take it. I HAVE NO SUPPORT TOWARDS YOUR CAUSE AT ALL.

The reason chat rooms are banned is because the Scratch Team can't moderate them all. The internet IS filled with horrible stuff, and Scratch can't make it all squeaky clean. However, Minecraft servers almost always run Bukkit, a server software which allows plugins to be added, including chat censors. Admins/mods are usually pretty good about banning people too, so I don't think that's an issue as long as the admins are good ones. It just isn't fair to punish all servers because one admin does a poor job.
