Re: Forum Blocks: Scratch Blocks in Your Forum Posts

Is there a way to change the font to Verdana-Bold? That’s the font that Scratch uses.

If you are reading this, please read to the end, because if you don't you won't know what's at the end. Don't just skip to the end though otherwise you won't be able to read the middle, which is most important. Now you must be wondering why you just read all that, the reason is you may have not noticed something, read it again and see if you notice it this time  smile

Cap blocks, hat blocks... also if you can change the font to Veranda-Bold.

Yes, but the trouble is that the Block Library is for blocks not already in Scratch, so the problem is that all arguments in these new blocks would appear as strings and all the blocks would turn red.

This wasn't designed for the block library, it was designed for using Scratch blocks on the forums. I can make a renderer for custom blocks, if you'd like me to  hmm

I don't think so. You might be able to import TTFs or PostScript fonts, but PHP only has the fixed-width thing by default.

I understand that it wasn't intended for the Block Library, and I'm not saying you need to make another generator for it (even though it would be greatly appreciated).  I was just pointing out why the Block Library couldn't use this block generator, since some people seemed to be considering using it for the Library.

Re: Forum Blocks: Scratch Blocks in Your Forum Posts

Some tests combined:
http://block.site90.net/[when%20Sprite1%20clicked][say%20[list%20(Item%201)%20(Item%202)%20~%20-]%20for%20(3)%20secs][say%20[list%20(Item%201)%20(Item%202)%20(Item%203)%20~%20-]%20for%20(4)%20secs]

Combining both types of forum blocks:
http://block.site90.net/[say%20(Hi!)%20for%20(3)%20secs]
[blocks]<say[ Hi! ]for( 3 )secs>[/blocks]
Moral: They don't combine.

AHHHEEM

If this is done we could easily post scripts just as well as images from scratch, otherwise images still look better.

Is there ANY way to make it? Even if it were to mean to remake the whole thing in a different language?

All we need now is for someone to make an editor for this. Honestly, inserting that code into a one-line URL is quite tedious. Maybe a special text editor could suffice. The best would be of course a drag and drop interface which could possibly take ages.

Or not ages..
Me make it.

EDIT: Here. So far only has http://block.site90.net/[move(10)steps] and http://block.site90.net/[wait(1)secs], both with customizable parameters.
EDIT:Why did I forget the closing tag for the link? Oh well, I fixed it.

Make more custom ones than red:
http://block.site90.net/[forever{[(Test)]}]

Code:

http://block.site90.net/[forever{[(Test)]}]

I found something that messes up BBCode that I ran into while trying to make custom C-blocks:

URLEncode the url and it should work.

Here is a changeset which adds an "export to forums" menu item to blocks, which copies the code for your stack into the clipboard. See here for detailed instructions on installing changesets

I don't get how to use this i filed it in but i can't see where the changes are...

The only change it makes is to add an "export to forums" menu item to each block's context menu (not the ones in the palette).

Ok!
Also:
http://block.site90.net/%5Bforever%7B%5Bclone%5D%5Bmake(a%20ScratchSpriteMorph())do%7B%5Bsay(DIS%20IZ%20AN%20AWSOME%20THING)%5D%7D%5D%7D%5D
So my custom make (sprite) do C-block wont work... idk why, does it not read sprite inserts for c blocks?

http://block.site90.net/%5Bforever%7B%5Bclone%5D%5Bsay(DIS%20IZ%20AN%20AWSOME%20THING)%5D%5Bdelete%20me%5D%5Bstop%20script%5D%7D%5D
But that is an AMAZING function!
