To remove projects completely from the scratch website:
On your "My Stuff" page, select the projects you want to get rid of and click on "delete selected projects".
To remove projects on your own machine:
Projects are just files, and both Mac OS X provide fairly easy way to remove files from directories or folders. If you don't know how to do this on your machine, ask someone familiar with the machine. (If you don't know how to delete files, you probably shouldn't be doing it, so I won't explain further.)

Just go to my computer. Click on drive C. Then go to Program Files. Scroll down until you see a folder named scratch. Click on it. Then you will see a list of your scratch folders. Then click on the one that has the project you want to delete in it. The right click on the project and select cut. Thats how you get rid of projects on windows.

The default project files directory (for WindowsXP) is C:\\Program Files\Scratch\Projects. Go there, choose a category and you'll see your project files. Drag your desired file in the Bin to delete it.

If you want to delete a project ( a normal project that you have shared and is not in any Galleries) just tick the box next to the project(s) and then click 'Remove selected Project's. p.s the project CAN be in a gallery if you want.

Find the projects folder by doing a search.
Or you could just find all .sb files by doing a search for *.sb .

I am having a similar issue as AaronM08. I can only see my scratch projects in the Projects directory from WITHIN the scratch interface (which has no delete option). When I look in the directory from Windows Explorer, the .sb files I have saved do not appear! I have scratch installed on both an XP and a Vista machine and this problem only occurs on Vista. Searching for .sb files only turns up the preinstalled files, the projects I saved are not visible or deletable.
When I save to "Computer" from with scratch, however, I can see the files - but I now have a pile of .sb files lying around in the Project directory, only visible from within scratch and apparantly not deletable.
Any advice on how to delete files in Vista which exhibit this problem would be appreciated.

Vista does a funny trick where it puts the files in one place and makes them appear to be in another. On my Vista machine my Scratch projects end up in
"C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Scratch"
Where "Owner" is my username on the machine (replace with your username). Your machine probably has a similar hidden folder where your Scratch projects are hanging out. When you find them, set up a shortcut to the folder.

Heliosa, not exactly.
First, do what you said until you said about the scratch folders. Open the projects folder. Then, locate the file and then, right click it, then press delete. It will go to the Recycle Bin, and go there and click the delete button to delete it forever.
Hope that helps!

is it possible to retrieve a project you deleted by mistake?

I don't think so unless you have it already saved on your computer.

what if you never saved it on the computer?
