What is it based on?
It wouldn't work too well with tags, because you know how every project on the front page has stuff like "waffles" and people could just put random tags on their project to get noticed.
This has been suggested before, but if there's something better than tags, I'm all for it.
If not, well... not so much.
If you are having trouble with simple counting, use the following mnemonic device: 1 comes before 2 comes before 5,280 comes before 523,860,759 comes after the square root of -153 comes before π. This will make your previous counting problems seem like no big deal.
