Compared to the earlier books it is getting kind of stupid as Riordan fills it with pop culture references that he thinks the kids like (I wouldn't be surprised if he introduced a btard or something in the next book) and it's all really annoying. I hope that's not the case. It will be the case for the next Artemis Fowl book though, with all of that junk that was in the last one. I could barely read it without cringing every 2 pages.
