My ipod just started working!!

This my sound a tad but freaky. My ipod wasn't working for a while. I dropped it, and the screen broke. It worked for a while, then one day when I came home from summer camp, the back light stopped working. I could only see it if I shone it under a bright light. So today, I had to get a friends number I had on my ipod, so I got it out to find it, and guess what... IT STARTED WORKING!! I was AMAZED!! Has anyone heard of this happening, or know why it happened? Any thoughts?

Edit: It just stopped working. Anyone have a tutorial on how to fix it? i found a tutorial, but it's for 1st and 2nd generation. Mines (Yes the older one) the 3rd generation. I dropped it while riding my bike, so the screen cracked. It worked for a few days, but then it stopped working. i found from a video that I have to take apart the ipod (uh duh!) and then there's a cable connecting from the watchamacallit, to the logicboard doohicky. Supposedly that wire thingy-a-ma-jiger cam loose, and that's what's making it not work. The screen flashes, and sometimes it'll work for a few seconds (Or once, it worked for longer then an hour), and then the backlight stops working again.

Edit: I decided to try and fix it, and I ended up killing it. I got the screen off, but because it was cracked, the whole front just started cracking off. Then my mom took out a piece of paper that connected the screen to the logic board thingy, (It was really a wire) and that caused the touch screen to stop working. Now,  the ipod turns on, and that's about it. The whole top (were the 4th generation camera is (Front, not back)) if gone, and you can see the inside. That's kind of cool. That's pretty much it. I have a video of it that I'll upload to youtube sometime. Anyone want to buy it for parts?

It just stopped working!!! I'm so mad now!! It flashes when I try and turn it on. Maybe it'll work again in the morning. I sure hope so.

Any questions, just ask, and I'll try to get back to you at around 7:00 (My time)(Also scratch time)

You'd get better support here.
