this is about 4 hours into creation of a space game that i am working on.
All graphics and code were created by me.
It lags a bit right now, so i am workin on trimming the code a bit, making it smoother.
Space is to fire
Up/Down to move
Green Flag to reset.
Critiques and ideas are always welcome, feel free to comment.
I am currently working on a a second weapon and third weapon, as well as sound effects for explosions.
Enjoy

Yet another 4 hours of work, and i finally have it working again.
New Additions:
Machine Gun (Hold 'a')
Sound effects-(Still to loud, recommend turning the volume down on your computer)
Color effects to the enemies
Levels, higher the level the faster they go and the more points you get.
Cleaner and smoother code, though it still lags a bit.
Hope you guys like it,
Be sure to comment/love it either on the forum or on the game site. I use the comments/critiques to correct the bad things, and boost the good.

PS- For thos who were wondering, graphics were made in Lightwave 3D and photoshop.

So i figured that i would take a little moment to explain how i created all the graphics
The Ship:
The ship was created in Lightwave 3D 8, a program developed by Newtek. As we all know, Scrath cant to 3d with log calculation times. So to et around this, i decided to create a ship, and make several images of it from certain angles. I used 30,20,10,0,-10,-20,and -30 degrees as my standard angle. After rendering out these images, i took them into photoshop, cropped out the black background, and moved the ship so that the nose of it was in the same place on ever image. This way when i oscillate the images, they will line up. When placed in scratch, it created a nice smooth transition between up and down. for information on how i used it in scratch, download the code
The Beam:
The Beam was fairly easy to make, i began by making a circle in photoshop. Then i created a gradient that seemed to look the coolest, and filled it into the sphere. Then, i mirrored the image, and used the twist tool to make the final design.
The enemies:
The enemies were fairly simple as well, i went into Lightwave again, created the enemy. I made sure that it was symmetrical on al sides, that way the i needed only 3 images instead of twelve. I rendered images at 0, 30, and 60 degrees. When implemented, it appeared to be smoothly rotating.

I like the first one better, the bad guys in it are cool. This took you 4 hours ? looking at all the code you done would take me years to do. You inspire me to continue on.
Please keep adding on. I love the graphics!!!!
