GLaDOS says that all Aperture Science equipment can withstand 4,000 degrees Kelvin. That explains why you get your companion cube back at the end of Portal 2, and why she was "still alive" in Portal 2. Even after you burn her up, core by core.

Yeah, so the incinerator closest GLaDOS should be around 5000º Kelvin?
