In regards to the 3d Scratch thing I would like to add something.
There is a similar program that works almost identical to scratch called Alice. Anyone who uses scratch will catch on VERY quickly. www.alice.org
EDIT: I forgot to mention it does 3d instead of 2d. Yea thats kinda important.

Bump, and I think you should add moving Miscellaneous to another forum to this list. The mods/ST have already said it's here to stay because it builds community bonds, etc.

A particle block would be good

there's also starlogo tng, which has an interface extremely similar to Scratch. however, it only does 3d and it's fairly limited.

I'm not sure if this has been suggested enough to include it here, but I think you should add this:
Scratch Suggestions: Flash Player Or Java Player by JJROCKER
Exact Suggestion:
JJROCKER wrote:
A way to make people go to either Flash Player or Java Player. So Flash Player makes it go quicker and the sizings correctly. So say you want everyone to go to Flash Player, you can make it so they have to. Sometimes with Flash Player, the projects get a little messed up. So you can make everyone go to Java Player.
Current Status: Declined

I can see why this would be nice! However, our hope is that as we fix the bugs in the flash player, you'll have less and less reason to use the old Java player. Remember, it's still in beta, and we're still fixing glitches!

There should be a Scratch program in a Box and then let people buy it at a price like at Fifteen Dollars

Good idea. I would pay for it

6. Private Messaging
Cheddargirl asked if I could put this here. It's occured a lot before, and I never noticed! xP
Anyway, I had a look around and it didn't take long to spot the answer:

No.
Because keeping things open and public allow for things to be transparent. Inappropriate behavior is easily spotted and the benefits of having private communication do not outweigh its disadvantages.
There are other places on the web that do a better job at private communication.
So if you want to send secret messages to your fellow secret agents, use a different website.
And naturally, there was an arguement afterwards. Buddy_ca111 argued about it, and I'd place the post here if it were shorter and slightly less argumentive.
And then shadow_7283 stepped in and pointed out some stuff (ah, these arguments go on for a while)...

I disagree with you Buddy_ca111. What I think Andresmh was trying to say is that Scratch is meant to be a learning enviornment. Anything worth saying on Scratch is something that should be able to be viewed by the public, that way they can contribute. Private messaging is not necessarily bad, although sometimes people use it for negative purposes. It's just that what would you say on there? Something Scratch related? If it is Scratch related, than it won't matter that it is viewed on the Site.
Private messaging can be used for what you like, but I don't think Scratch really has a need for something that can be done through other websites and/or e-mail.
Okay. And for your information, the argument went on even further, but there's no point in continuing. =D
So does this mean my project is illegal? http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/BomberE/2138496

No, that project is fine (I think it's pretty cool, too!).

If I'm not mistaken they said next version of scratch WILL have videos in projects available. Could you look into that one more please?

You need to add a chapter about deleting/editing comments. Scratch Team quotes can be found on the UserVoice suggestion site. http://suggest.scratch.mit.edu/forums/6 … ggestions/

Every single other forums has them, but us. We need to get into reality and up with the date. It's time to put in avatars on the forums.
If there were avatars, then the server would be SURE To slow down.
P.S. Begging will lead you nowhere.

Scratch 3D would be nice but 3D doesn't work with java

Not being rude, but It doesn't matter how many forums got avatars. Not just they can take up space but what if someone uploaded there own photo or something very rude or innapropiate as there avatar. Remember the internet is NOT private. So avatars cannot be possible. Plus the server will slow down as well.
