The Astrogeek Union Forums have run dry, looking for new members?

Although we still have about 4 active members, our once-thriving metropolis of a forum - which at its peak had numerous members posting daily - has been reduced to near-nothingness. Although we may get a few posts a day, thanks to our devoted members, many of our members have left and the forum is for the most part inactive.

The Astrogeek Union Forums are a nice handful of forums revolving around astrophysics, the study of physics in space. You can "discuss Astrophysics, black holes, the Large Hadron Collider, or simply what you had for dinner" at these forums, making it ideal for a physics whiz or simply your average, everyday thirteen-year-old.

The Astrogeek Union was made by big-bang (known as GoombaGeek on AGU), promoted by Bluestribute (who actually ditched Scratch for a brief period of time to go there, so we had him exclusively), and the forum was, of course, made by me. Each of the three most prominent members, the ones mentioned in this very paragraph, are still active members. Others include Toasty, Adriangl, and Geckofreak, and that's it. Even the fact that I can name the only members posting in 2009 (pretty much) is a feat that only a truly desperate forum could achieve.

We all remember the days when the forum were thriving, way back in November of '08. Sadly, their depletion of active members and daily posts finally lead to what we have now: a simple forum where almost nobody goes on. So come on! Join the Astrogeek Union Forums! Bring back the ol' days! Visit The Astrogeek Union Forums!

Aw, come on! Still no new members? Ugh... You don't have to talk about physics, you know!

Re: The Astrogeek Union Forums have run dry, looking for new members?

here's your problem with astrogeek: overall it is a nice forum and all, but what exactly makes it better than the scratch one, obviously here we can chat all we jolly well want and since inspiration and more was made we can post almost anything we want, astrogeek needs some things that make it different from the rest, try adding a bigger section for forum games and even a section for featured forum games (only admins and mods can post here) and an xat chatbox

(I'm coolstuff) Thanks for your input. But no chatboxes, we don't need those, I've always been anti-chatbox. There actually used to be a "Contest Corner" but due to lack of participation it was shut down.

People, really. AGU is extremely fun. Once you join, you will post every hour. It is so fun!You might be thinking"we have fun on the Scrtach Forums" and we know that. Except on AGU you can talk about Scratch, or anything you want to talk about. You can talk to your friendly co-scratchers about anything. So join!!!!

I'll join but I'm not known for making many posts  tongue

I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.

I'm a geek too... Most Astrogeeks are... I'm actually really interested in any type of physics, be it particle physics, astrophsyics, general motion physics, anything else...
