It takes a while to become well known. Here's a project with a few ideas that you might find helpful...

Also, you might want to join a Critique Group, take a look at the link in my signature.

If you start at your My Stuff page and edit the web address so that it points to the name of the user you want to contact, you can get to their My Stuff page. Then, you can leave a comment on one of their projects or galleries. For example:

What do you want help with? The more detail you can give, the better your chances of getting the help you want. There's lots of helpful people on Scratch but they need to know what you are looking for.
By the way, have you taken a look at our New User's Guide topic?

You might find some direction there.

When I first started Scratch what inspired me to work were the sample projects. I browsed through the sample projects, studied their code, found something I could understand and remixed it.
My very first project was a simple animation of a running horse. Then I thought - that horse should be able to do something!
With great effort and with the help of my uncle I managed to create a code that made my horse jump and neigh when the spacebar is pressed. After that I improved the code even more and made it into a horse race project. It was really * and I knew it, but it was made by me, and I was proud of it ^__^
The key to success is just having fun. Scratch is a hobbie just like drawing, doing sports, etc. - you do it because you like it and you do it for your own enjoyment.
Don't expect massive attention from the internet community - instead, show your projects to your family members and friends, have them play with Scratch with you or ask them to help.
Eventually you will discover more and more possibilities of Scratch and become a great programmer.
I do admit that my first minutes of Scratch were a lot more fun that what it is now. I sometimes wish I forgot how to Scratch and start all over.
