You're using that argument?
It's a game, with a strong social feature so being banned from it could mean not talking to people on there for a while.
Why do you even use the computer? All of this stuff isn't real, they're just pixels being told what color to be.

You do know it's meant to be a punishment, right? I mean, of course playing games is nice. It's recreation, which is nice, but a punishment isn't meant to be.

Well it sounds to me like their ban system is really bad, if someone reports you then you get banned? That's the worst system I've ever heard of.

A virtual hobby.
That doesn't matter or is even applicable. Just because what he's doing is virtual doesn't mean the hobby is.

Alright then, they should get another hobby. Something else to do if they, I don't know, get banned, for instance.

He doesn't need a hobby. It's not like he can't survive without one. My point was just that Club Penguin is, in fact, a hobby.

A hobby is something you spend time on in your free time.

So he can survive without playing Club Penguin for a day. But evidently, they aren't happy about that, so it's nice to have something else to do to kill time (I've just given myself a great idea for a story!

I've never played it before by the way, but in most games the team take longer than the ban to reply.

From what I gathered you were refining your post down when he said it is a hobby and narrowing down what you meant to something non-PC based.

Well yes. Having a non-virtual based hobby is good, in case of, I don't know, a blackout.
