My dad says I'm wasting my time with Scratch when I could be using a real game design program.  hmm  At least my Mom is supportive.

I intend to be there, although it'll entail a cross-country flight because I have events here in California the week before and the day after!  But I'm an adult so I don't know if that's what you meant.

P.S.  All you people with parents who think Scratch is a waste of time should tell them that here at Berkeley we have a (more or less) Scratch-based course for our undergraduates.  (It actually uses BYOB, a Scratch mod.)  It's serious stuff.

You could mention me. I started out with Scratch about four years ago and am now studying Games Technology at university. I've learnt about five other programming languages but I'm still here with Scratch because I know that Scratch is what piqued my interest in programming and was an excellent solid base to begin on - and I believe that staying here and helping other people appreciate Scratch as the excellent foundation it is is worth my time and effort!

Re: Scratch Day 2012 Discussion

There are NEVER any in Canada.
Why can't that ST member from Vancouver host one?
I would TOTALLY go.
I live near there.
