I'm not with the scratch team, but I don't think you should use the EXACT replica of the blocks. Maybe you should use shapes or puzzle pieces? Buttons? Type-programming? If I were you I wouldn't use the block idea. Just experiment and see what good comes out of it!

They used Verdana bold, and for the inside text input textboxes Verdana or Comic Sans.

Would it be okay to hack Scratch and add custom blocks? I've seen people do that and if it is okay, where would I put them, how would I make them, ect. Please help! PS Include mesh in next Scratch. We allready know how to get it, but 1.4 RC crashes on my mac when I save the image for end user

Sure! Check out BYOB in the advanced topics thread. It's fine to modify Scratch.

Nope, sorry. If we allowed people to use the Scratch website for promotional purposes, we'd likely get overrun by spam really quickly.

I'm sorry but only projects created with official Scratch are allowed on the Scratch website. That's to insure that all the projects on the website can be shared by people running Scratch. While modifications of Scratch are permitted, they can't be allowed to interfere with people using and learning Scratch.
As for using the name "Scratch" in your modification and a variant of the Scratch Cat as a mascot...that seems a bit too close to the original and might cause confusion. Please pick something that is clearly different from the official Scratch name and emblem.

How about White Out, because it doesn't allow syntax errors, it essentially whites them out.
And some other random white sprite.
I'm glad to think that the community will always be kind and helpful, the language will always be a fun and easy way to be introduced into programming, the motto will always be: Imagine, Program, Share - Nomolos
