Re: Scratch 2.0 Progress Report: Create your own block

You know how when you click a variable it tells you the value? Well, how about when you click on a custom block, it will show the script for it.

Y'know, I bet someone's going to figure out a way to use cloning and cloud variables to make EPIC multiplayer games.

Re: Scratch 2.0 Progress Report: Create your own block

Isn't this what I posted 4 years ago? http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic.php?id=9735

Someone else also introduced the idea of parameters on my thread, so that isn't exactly new either...

Re: Scratch 2.0 Progress Report: Create your own block

I believe that you should have a tab for creating and holding custom blocks. So that your sprites don't get filled as much and it would be easier to find the blocks

Re: Scratch 2.0 Progress Report: Create your own block

Also: I'm so excited for Scratch 2.0! I have a few Multiplayer games that are ready to go they just need the cloud variables to be added in and bam done! As long as the cld variables work the way I expect them to, lol!

Re: Scratch 2.0 Progress Report: Create your own block

what would happen if the jump block was executed in the stage ?
A)the block woulden't work
B)the stage would jump
C)there would be an error
D)the block wouldn't be alowed in the stage in the first place

In 1.4, if you give the stage a block that's only for sprites, this happens.

Re: Scratch 2.0 Progress Report: Create your own block

I have a question.  I tested that function a minute or so ago, and you can't put variables or strings in by the

[string]
or
(variable)
or
 [dropdown list v]
.  Will these features be available?

Re: Scratch 2.0 Progress Report: Create your own block

I dont quite get multiplayer blocks (sorry). Will they be server blocks/ an alternative to meshing, or will we still have to mesh?
