TV censors: Very inconsistent.

...So Katy Perry's episode on Sesame Street is removed for...really somewhat dumb reasons while, 4kids has had things probably way worse like, I dunno, YESTERDAY MORNING. I dunno, maybe I'm complaining for no reason, but I just find them to be really inconsistent. (Then again, their lazyness helped Animaniacs.  tongue )

Re: TV censors: Very inconsistent.

The dress was just a teensy-bit low cut.

Other than that, there was nothing wrong with it.

I liked the dress a lot personally. So much that I saved all the pictures to my USB.

I flipping hate Katy Perry!

But she did a good job on Sesame Street. (I make fun of Sesame Street a lot, but it's actually a very clever show, that even adults can enjoy).

I can't find a logical reason for why I should fret over what goes on, on kids shows.  neutral

It isn't about that in general, I was TRYING to talk about how inconsistent the censors are.

Honestly, what does that matter?

You are sitting in front of a computer typing so you can accomplish nothing. Then again, so am I.

Okay then, thanks for that analysis, professor PW

Ew. I don't like Katy Perry... both her parents are pasters, she used to be a Christian artist... and now she sings songs about.... questionable topics.

Re: TV censors: Very inconsistent.

I think there is some kind of consensus about what is and what is not allowed on public television. The thing is that different channels also have a tendency to apply additional standards to what they want and do not want on their station. 4Kids is kind of pretty strict on their censorship policy, but they cater to a different audience than PBS (which is usually subject to more scrutiny) and can therefore get away with showing certain content that some parents might object to.

and katy perry's music is actually really clever.

Hey! Listen to some more varied Christian music before you judge. And that comment was highly insulting to me and pretty much any other Christian out there. I don't make fun of your beliefs, do I?

I know, right? And it's not all like that! Try Christian rock. [/flamebait]

On topic, that dress really wasn't too bad considering that in, say, Diary of A Wimpy Kid, nothing is censored, even though in most drawings of adult women, the proportions are... well, exaggerated, to say the least.

Yawn, another boring text signature. I should really make something better.
