You can just share it as .sprite    This is to prevent people from using SR as a regular image host and avoids potential bot-uploads (if they figure they first have to create an account over here    ah well    )

We do not yet support bmp as it's not supported by PHP's default image functions and I wasn't interested to look into extensions xD And who still uses BMP?! xD

Scratch uses some nasty trick to circumvent caching  - it adds the todays date to the url: ..buddy/25062_med.png?t=2010-06-30+12%3A47%3A42 but I don't want to do something as nast as that (shame on you, andréd    ). Even clearing your cache won't work as it's server-side caching that's causing the problem.

hehe lol - these are all bugs that are impossible to discover when no-one is using the system, I hope we'll get them all fixed 

@adriangl It still isn't working for me. I even tried "terminator68" instead of "Terminator68"!

It is what Scratch exports costumes and backgrounds as. So you might want to fix that.

Really? I think you might be mistaken, because when I exported my background, I found that it was a BMP. Hmm....

In older versions of Scratch it exported as BMP with pink backgrounds, I'm sure about that
