I do very much respect you animators for trying to be kind, and un-rowdy. But the problem is that you guys aren't being very smart or reasonable.

That's true...I guess I should've noticed that earlier.  sad  Sorry.

I do agree with that.

But why, on this site originally designed for music, stories, interactive art, games, simulations, and tutorials, does art get all of the views?

No, it's just you haven't noticed any of the 5. Maybe if you did you would try making varying projects. I have made a project for everything except story. For you it would probably be art and animation only.

There's something wrong with animation now?

I have checked all but story as well.

And you admit you have checked art, do you?

All of my projects with "art" ticked are artistic games, like the sea urchin series, which use a style of graphic design to portray a cartoony sea. On the overall, it is a game though.

I have no projects where "art" is the only box ticked.

People should broaden their horizons, cocoanut. If the artists began programming we could have some stunning programs and interactive art pieces.

Theexplodingcheez is a great example of someone who has done every genre. An example of a good scratch user, other than the slight downsides that come with fame for children.

When I re-read the stuff from the 'gamers', I notice how in-depth it is. Even if offending, I respect the great points you guys have. Some of them true, but I'll still be supporting art. Huzzah. >:3

Ha, I know - I'm a VERY odd person. It could take ages to explain why I'll still support art.

Re: This is How We Feel.

I'm sorta neutral in this fight, yet, I'm still leaning towards the programmers side. Art can be cool and awesome to look at, but really wasn't that made for deviantART(or whatever it's called)? I mean really. There were websites actually MADE for art, unlike Scratch. As a quote I heard in the past, "it's not 'Scratch: Imagine, DRAW, Share'." Then there's the whole RPing problem. I'm trying to stop RPing in the galleries, but it's so fun! X3 But anyway, yeah, I'll eventually stop RPing and my RP buddies will be asking two weeks later why I haven't been RPing lately. Then I'll be on the programmer side completely! ^^

You don't have to completely give up what you do. Just don't do it for fame and stuff.

:Don't try to game the communtiy," means the same as not trying to get fame easily, though the concept of 'gaming the community also includes more things then what I have said.

Now that I think about it, why is it called, 'gaming' the communtiy. I demand a rename to 'arting' the community. Lol,  tongue  JK

I'm glad to think that the community will always be kind and helpful, the language will always be a fun and easy way to be introduced into programming, the motto will always be: Imagine, Program, Share - Nomolos

Re: This is How We Feel.

MY PLAN:

Gamers Do This:

1. If you see a 'pointless' art project, don't view it if you don't want it top viewed!

2. Look at games, if that is what you want to see.

3. Don't bother artists!

4. Let scratch be diverse  smile

5. Remember that not everyone is as good a programmer as you.

5. Make games and have fun with it.

Artists Do This:

1. Don't let the gamers get on your nerves.

2. Do what you want on scratch, even if its little programming.

3. Don't bother gamers!

4. Let scratch be diverse  smile

5. Make art and have fun with it.
