I noticed that python has many libraries that let you uses extra fuctions. On example is pygame. Is there anyway you developers could allow users to create their own libraries for scratch projects in the scratch language? For example, I could download a physics library and it would allow the user to create objects that would be affected by physics without having to write tons of formulas. Or a scroller library that would make creating scrolling games much easier by adding the right scripts and variables in the library. Could anything like this be done?

this ties into that whole cat thing. if they did make libraries and went with illusionist and bwog's idea then there wouldnt be arguments about the anthros anymore

if your idea is implemented, then we can have a different library for games, drawings and... the other thing that i forgot what its called
i agree with this idea!

A graphics library would be cool and it would let you create sprites by writing equations. Or a maps library that could connect to the internet and get maps from google maps or another website! Maybe even a new library that could let you make RSS feed readers and weather stations with Scratch.

No idea, but maybe if they created a librarie creation feature, someone could create a library that creates sprites if you enter equations or even 3d graphics libraries. I looked at my watch and it said 1:23:45 XD

I don't know... I wouldn't mind if it got included, but then again, I wouldn't mind if it were left alone.

That sounds kinda cool—I use Python, too.

Well scratch is open source so you can edit it to include whatever you want
However, the online player will only ever work with the official scratch distribution. Even if you could put in new liberaries the online player won't run it.
