Aw, how'd YOU get it?

I've been an official beta tester since the first beta I think. But I just found the mesh feature because it was hidden and not mentioned in the documentation. However, I think that it may be local only with eliminates the possibility of connecting with people from other networks.

Also, I have already made a chatroom.

PS: Don't bother with rpgs, you would need sprite duplication for that.

Use those neat little "ask" thingamajigs and store them in variables which will be stored in a list.

Gah! What? Oh. Well, we're trying not to make this super-public. If word gets out (and it already has) that select members are giving away free 1.4 beta copies, that's not good. Just try to limit it to people who would use all of the features to a full extent. I'll let you be the judge.

Re: I'm at MIT!

One thing I don't like about the mesh feature is that all users must be added manually. What I mean is that if someone connects to your server, you cannot automatically register their variables, you must manually put the necessary blocks together. This makes it much harder to include new users who connect.

I guess that would just be a problem for when it's in beta. Once it's official, you could share it and just have people download it. That way, in the chatrooms, for example you could have administrative powers or something.

You mean you have to give every single person who can use the project a permission to use it?

Well, you have to connect with a username, and if the host doesn't have the variables for that specific username then they can't recieve data from that user.

So does that mean you have to use your own server now? Or does the Scratch website still do that? I imagine it would increase the server load a fair bit...

Oui, je parle un petit peu de français, mais je ne suis pas bon. Quelques anees avant cette journee (et je m'excuse pour les accents qui n'existe pas), je suis dans l'immersion, mais pas maintenant.
