Check out this cool project nerddownthestreet made: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/nerddow … eet/567275. It has both Windows and Mac instructions. 

Let's say a project won't show even though the blue Loading... bar is full. The Java Heap Memory needs to be increased.

1. Go to the Control Panel (you should know how to do this)
2. Find the Java icon and double-click it.

3. Click on the Java tab.

4. Click "View" under Java Applet Runtime Settings.

5. Under Java Runtime Parameters, type -Xmx128m

6. Click OK and restart your internet browser.

You can proabally go higher (like I put 512), but don't go overboard.

Do not go that far.

Now try loading a project that usually couldn't load and see if it does.

Thank you so much!  I really found this helpful!  There are tens (hundreds maybe) of megabytes of storage on my computer that are being gobbled up by downloaded Scratch projects that refused to load in either Flash or Java, even after the loading bar filled up

If it takes forever to load, that is not to do with java heap memory unfortunately.
