Re: Arabian Nights--A Writing Collab for Future Authors

Name: Amaya

Nickname(s)?: Night, Rain, or Maya are nicknames friends may call her.

Cryptid: Hippocampus

Appearance:

Her chest, forelegs, and head are that of a horse. Her fur is a chocolate brown, and her glossy black hair covers her blue eyes most of the time. She has a white, star shaped marking on her forehead. Her hooves are a deep raven color.

Her back is a long 'fish' tail, which often is ciling and uncoiling. The scales are a brown were it molds into fur, but it slowly goes to blue to white. The large fin at the end of her tail is pure white with silver markings.

Relationships:
Undecided, yet, for the most part.

Humans - Hated, feared

Personality: Reckless, and paired with her ability to not care waht others think, can lead to her being rude. She tries to be nice, but she also hates working or putting herself out of her comfort zone. She is very excitable, and rarely serious. She is often worried for her friends, but hides it.

History:
Amaya's father didn't stick around to see her born. After Amaya was born, she lived with her mother for a short time, until a day came when the warm, shallow waters they had been living in had been discovered by humans. Amaya's mother told her to go through the small passage in the cave they were trapped in, however, her mother was captured by humans.

Amaya traveled deep into the sea, relying on the mercy of sea creatures. One day, she swam into a current and got rammed into a rock. She fell unconscious. She woke up, some time later, to see other Cryptids. She has stayed with them since.

Re: Arabian Nights--A Writing Collab for Future Authors

Is it okay for there to be a boy Kelpie? Sorry, I only know the basic Cryptids. Well ifso...
Name:Epher
Nicknames:None really, though is often playfully called "Ephie" or "Seal"
Cryptid:Kelpie
Appearence: Brown seal in water, with white birthmark on his tail flipper. Out oof water, he is a handsome young man, about 20, with a tall, lean figure, and messy windblown brown  hair with big, dark, eyes.
Hore Form is a chestnut horse with a White sock on his back left foot, and a white staron his forehead
Realationships: None. Yet...
Humans-Hates most of them, but has a few good friends that are humans
Personality-Mostly serious and stern, solemn, brave, opens up arounds his friends, and despite his stern personality, is fairly good at making new friends, though he doesn't get the chance to often.
History: Used to live in a safe sanctuary full of thriving Kelpie life, when one day a Human ship leaking oil floated above his village, dragging fishing nets in the water. Some of the Kelpies were trapped by the nets, others choked on oil. Epher had broken free of a fishing net, only to see his family lying dead from the oil. He swam fast and far, and is the only one he knows of who survived the attack on his village.
Met up with some other cryptids soon enough and made fast friends.

Ooooo.... I wasn't actually thinking that but now that you mention it, the book could use a little romance  wink

But we have to wait a bit first...drop sly hints here and there....

how about, in the prologue, there's four parts, and each part briefly goes through the history of one of the characters?

Oh, yes good idea. But it would be suspenseful, so like
...Amaya watched as the net was thrown over her mother...

~Epher tasted something foul in the water. It was surrounding him, choking him...

Then later we would come back to Amaya or whoever the first person was.

Speaking of 1st person, is this going to be 1st person or 3rd person Point of Veiw?

I like de prologue idea. ^^

http://scratch-arabian-knights-writing-collab.wikia.com/wiki/Cryptids:_Character_Sheets
You can add charecter sheets here^

Also, remember to take turns adding them, otherwise, we could mutilate it. XD

Who should go first, adding sheets?

Also, should we start writing our charecters part for the prologue? ^^

Okay, when we're done with our history part, post it on here for the editors to, well, edit, and so the editors can combine them and make them suspenseful.

ANyone opinions on POV? I think third person would work best, what do you guys think?
