Re: Html/css

Ohhh, maybe later. I just want to get my one site up first. If you want to help me, create a flash quality game on scratch. Not like thats hard or anything. Oh, and it can't copy any flash games or major console games.

I gotta good place if you want to add some things, like music. It also gives you basic functions and has my favorite, the marquee. HTML Tags/Codes....  Did anyone find this page useful?

Re: Html/css

I am not that good with flash quality games. Well I will keep learning HTML. The Best of scratch thing didn't work because of some mistake I made. So I deleted it. When I am better with HTML I will make a site.

Well, you can make the file, but you can't actually use it...
But you can sign up for a free web hosting service that has php enabled.

If you save a couple websites, view the source code, play around a bit, and look up all the tags to see what they do, then play around a bit more. you should have a working understanding of html within a day or two. it's really not all that difficult. css may take a few days, but for what it is, it comes fairly easily too. w3 school will get you through the rough spots with css...

Okay, here's my explanation on the different programming languages (oh yeah, and remember to use the advanced account in Freewebs) :

I would learn these four computer languages before moving on to anything else (web-wise). And before moving on to JavaScript and PHP you should have a clear understanding of HTML. CSS is completely optional, but can come in handy if you want a nice layout. So, the order in which I would learn them (or at least the order in which I did learn them) would be: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP

If you like, I could give you a mini-lesson in HTML, CSS, or Javascript. I haven't been using PHP for too long (only a month or so) so I can't lecture you about that.

I will probably use something esle, I just thought of it first. I will try to get HTML right now and will probably have most of the basics down in a week. By the way, how long did it take you to learn all that?

Oh and I stole your descriptions. tongue

You don't need to save the website. You can just go to "view" > "source" on the toolbar.

Hey, coolstuff. Is T35 a good web host? I have a couple of questions about it because I am looking for a free one that contains php, has a small subdomain or none at all and has unlimited pages/bandwidth/whatever. It said that it did on the main page. Is that true? Does it allow for unlimited pages? Does it have any traffic trackers? Does it submit your sites to any search engines? What else is good about it?

Yes, it's free. And there is unlimited web hosting. But if you upload, say, 500GB of stuff (which I doubt you will do) then they will ban you, but other than that, yes it is true. You can't submit your site to a search engine for free unless it finds you. That's what happened to me. But it seems to find .t35 sites more easily than .webs sites. You can't get a free domain for free. Also, there is a small 1-line ad but it's not that bad as Freeweb's ads.

000webhost.com is better
no ads, free hosting, and enough space for a normal webpage
i also gives you a good subdomain like something.site90.com

Actually, I find the World Wide Web Schools to be much more straight-forward and easy to learn from. But they do leave some of the major points out...

There should be a key on your keyboard that says  "Prnt Scrn". Press it to copy the screen.

Is <base> even a tag?
EDIT: yes, it is, but it only defines a base for all <a>'s

Re: Html/css

Hey, anyone the Javascript code to make a webpage change, depending on the link used to get into it? And change the page url? I doubt you can do that but still, I am asking. Also, what about those tool bars that change the content on the current page?
