Having trouble recording my voice on Scratch?

I am taking a scratch course, and I am currently doing a project where I have to use the recording feature. I turned off all effects from my video recording for audio. But still, when I record, it records my voice in "fast motion" and it sounds very weird. I don't know what to do or how to fix it. Any ideas so I can make my voice sound normal when I record?

Scratch's recordings aren't exactly very good.
Try recording in another program, saving, and importing.
