Selling Pico Cricket

I bought a Pico Cricket a few years ago, because I really liked the idea of programming with physical components. Then, I was introduced to Scratch, (Pico's older brother also from the MIT Media Lab) which I really liked and switched to.

However, now that I've been Scratching for the last 10 months, I think I'm ready to let go of my Pico. The Pico is in the box with all the components that it cvame with. The sound sensor doesn't seem to be working, but everything else works great! It comes with Pico Blocks (The computer programming software for it) which is similar to Scratch, and is compatible with Mac and PC. It also has the instructions guide, set-up booklet and place mats with possible Pico Ideas, and the lego bricks, and small toys it came with to attach to the Pico Cricket.

I bought it for around $150, but I'm only asking for $75. Please let me know if you're interested!  big_smile

Check out the website: picocricket.com. It's basically a basic programming language like Scratch with physical components, like lights and sensors.

I can see a creative Scratcher out there into implementing this type of programing into a physical form that might be interested and who would benefit from this.

Yes, it's fully operational with the exception of the sound sensor which doesn't seem to be working for me. I'm asking $75 which seems quite reasonable since I bought it for around $150. If you have a Paypal account you can just send me the money there and I can ship the Pico to you?

I'd like to see an image of the actual kit. Does it work with scratch?

No, it has it's own software that's very similar but allows for motor, sensing and other blocks. The software comes with it. do you want me to take a picture of it for you?

Re: Selling Pico Cricket

If it doesn't work with scratch, I probably won't buy it, but I would still like to see a picture of your kit thanks  smile

Re: Selling Pico Cricket

Is your pico cricket still for sale?  If so we would be interested in it for our outreach program.  If you could email me at [e-mail removed by moderator. Please don't share or encourage others to share personal contact information on the Scratch website] that would be great.  Thanx!

Re: Selling Pico Cricket

My son uses the PicoCricket at school and loves it. Are you selling the full kit? I'm interested -- not sure how to connect off this forum, though (I'm a newbie!).

Re: Selling Pico Cricket

Hi Steve,  yes am definitely still interested!  I'd much rather continue this discussion off the forum though; what's the best way to do this?
