I been playing this game for quite a while now and to be honest think it it totally EPIC! It just amazes me how graphics and sounds and total emersion into a game have become so good!
I kinda just wanted to hear some of your opinions on not just BF3 but in general about how technologie has improved. If any of you guys do or have played BF3 share your thoughts!

BF3 is just BF2: Remastered. Same with CoD. They add a new gun, change a few graphics, add another character, set it in a different place, and BOOM! They call it a new game!

That may be Cod but BF3 is so diferent from bf2. Of course they have to be similar because theyre in the same series 'Battlefield' and there are so many different guns and balancing of them. Mw was insane, mw2 fun, mw3 a time passer but in the end they just became long extensions.

If you actually had knowledge about the game, you could then make me at least respect your opinions about it.

BF3 isn't very good, actually. It's impressive visually, sure, but when you get down to it, it's lacking a good story backbone to hold it together. Story is just as important as gameplay or graphics, but in this age of Michael Bay and Call of Duty no one cares about quality anymore.
That said, that is my opinion and I respect your opinion. I don't think the game is bad, actually, but certainly not the best imo. Can anyone really say what quality is, really? It's all based on your own personality and what you think is fun.
Oh, and BF3's multiplayer is pretty fun.

On the how technology was improved part:
I hear stories from my dad about after he quit apple, one of the main computer designers was told to start compacting computers from giant squares to a slightly less giant square. He told me the story not due to apple's advancement, but due to the fact that when the designer said he didn't know how to do it Steve Jobbs said that he was fired and asked the next-in-charge designer if he could make it and the guy immediately said yes.
EDIT: 1000'th POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOOT!

I've played BF, BF2, BF3, and BF:H. I've played a lot of other shooter games, and own black ops.

Personally, I hate BF3, and first person shooters in general. They're just sadistic games, promoting war and violence as if they're really awesome thing, when they're totally not. That's just my opinion anyway.

So do you have the same standards towards movies, books, or music related to war and violence?

I have sort of the same opinion about movies and books, but video games are what really portray war violence the most. I haven't seen any war movies, but I have seen a lot of movies with violence in them, but...hmm...actually good point. I'm kind of mixed about it when it comes to other media.
I hate the idea of war in general, anyway, even though some say I'm a pretty disturbed kid.

Half of all FPS like Bioshock and Half Life 2 have nothing to do with war at all, and even games like CoD don't glorify war, in fact CoD's old motto was "War is bad" or something but it doesn't succeed. It is, however, just a game and not real life.

Yeah, I guess. I should have been more clear about it. I just hate war, so yeah.
