Man, does this movie look good. In the trailer, there's Bowser, Eggman, Zangief, those ghost thingies from Pacman - it all blends together in sweet, sweet harmony.
Also, I enjoyed the use of a Talking Heads song in the trailer.![]()
Don't forget M. Bison.

Well, it is another movie in a huge range of animated kids movies trying to be funny for adults too. Let's see if this one works.

You seem to think animated = kids movie which is a very bad attitude to have!

I don't care if the movie ends up being the worlds worst movie in history.

That's probably their marketing strategy as well.

from the trailer I saw this movie doesn't look very good. it seems cheesy with over-the-top moral lessons. i don't think i will go see it.
that being said I am not one of those people who think animated=kids movie, i happen to rank "How to train your dragon" very highly on my list.
this movie just does not appeal to me. it seems like they had a good idea but borrowing characters from other places seems unoriginal even if it is about video games.
it seems like this movie is tailored especially form the 8-12 year old video game fanbase. i just hope it doesnt alienate everyone else.

I agree on some of your points. The movie looks like it could be enjoyable but I wouldn't pay to see it. Animated=Kids movie? I don't think that is true at all. I enjoy many animated movies and think that a lot are worth watching. But Wreck-It Ralph isn't on my top 'Movies I should see' list.

IGN: "Best Video Game Movie Ever Made" "Best Animated Movie of The Year"
And the direct references actually look to be stuff that an 8-12 year old wouldn't (generally) know about.

I'm not seeing it. I was expecting like Roger Rabbit with video games, but it isn't.

I just saw it. It was absolutely incredible.
It far exceeded my expectations. It's not Roger Rabbit with video games, but I'd say it's more of Toy Story with video games.
It has many funny references to old-school video games, all of which I definitely got, because I appreciate retro video games and culture. I actually had to explain some of the references to my dad.
