To be honest, it probably did actually. Because Steve's Forums used it because of Mod Share I think (well, you were the developer, so you would've chosen, right?), and that made me try it and eventually stick with it, and then I get the feeling that users of those two forums decided to try it out for their sites too. :p
Three months ago probably a quarter of the people that have heard of 1FH now hadn't heard of it.
