Companies?? I NEED HELP

Hi,
I need a bit of help with company stuff. I have recently tried to join a few companies but, as things are they are full. So I was wondering, does anyone have any good tips on making companys?? Cause at this rate it looks like I'm making my own and I don't really know anything about them. Please help me.
