**Like Tower Defense games?**

If so, you're in for a delightful surprise. I'm working on a game that's going to blow your mind. I won't release any specific details about it yet, but it's going to be as big, if not bigger than the infamous Forums Tower Defense game. I think you'll all love it. One thing that's going to be epic about the project is that every user who plays it will have a unique, one of a kind play through because everyone is assigned a different name! It might not make sense, but that's because I'm trying not to get too technical (;
Anyways I thought I would tell everyone about this thing. I've been working on it for about a month now and I've put tons and tons of hard work/thought into it. Now I think it's time for some feedback. So tower defense gamers, is there anything in specific you would like to see in the game? This can be anything really. Upgrades, enemy ideas, you name it. I'll take your ideas and if I like them I'll implement them into the game and include your name in the notes section of the project to give you credit when I finally release this.

Sounds good so far (even though all I reall know is that its tower defense).

A good thing to put lots of thought into is to make sure the towers are priced well, otherwise people will just take the best one if its not to high, or the weakest cause its so cheap. Another thing to think about is you should make it were the different towers have different strategys for different levels, like maybe their is a boss coming through, so you would want to use the one with the most attack, but is the slowest to attack, but in a round with lots of weak enemies, you wouldn't use this.

Now I said all of this assuming you'd have different towers and levels and be able to pick different ones, but if this is not the case then your fine.  smile

That's the only thing I dislike about the game... It will use preset paths... But if I had to judge the way I've set the preset paths up, I'd say it's about one step down in terms of excellent scripting compared to yours... See, I've made it to where the level increases every 5 waves, and on every level there's a preset paths. Since I'm making 50 rounds in general, there will only be 10 paths for the ai to follow (5 waves * 10 levels = 50). Now I'm even more anxious for you to see (:

P.S. - I've always been fascinated with how you got the free form path finding to work. If you got the chance, could you show me how to do it? I won't use it in my game, as it requires turbo mode and mine will not be using that feature, I would just really like to see how in the world you've made that a possibility with scratch (:

I was not able to download his project so I just wrote my own based on his description.

Thank you for your suggestions! I'll be sure to take them into consideration. Regarding attack/pricing/enemies; The enemies get stronger each wave, and there are 5 waves each level. Every time you reach a new level your items are reset including your money. I feel as though this will force players to strategize accordingly (: I wish I could go into further details but I don't want to release much information about the game..
It will make much more sense and feel more comforting once the game is finalized/uploaded (: One thing in particular that I've been putting a lot of thought into is devising a sell back system. Meaning when players purchase turrets or equipment of the sort, they would then have the option to sell the item back for 75% of the item's original price.. I'm on the verge of cancelling that idea but before I do, what do you think? Should I do that? Would it be useful? Thanks in advance  (:
