Connecting 2 sprites together

is there a way to connect 2 sprites together (eg. so if you wanted a gun to fire the bullets would not be connected to the first sprite but if you got hit not the bullet you would die) is there any possible way to do this.

Thanks

Re: Connecting 2 sprites together

I'm not sure if I understand what you're asking, solstice. I you want a gun to fire a bullet at a target it's probably best to create three sprites, a gun, a bullet and a target sprite. I don't see how these sprites would have to be connected to each other.

I you (like me) want to build "complex" sprites out of "subsprites", e.g. a car with "real" wheels and collision sensors not based on color detection (or, say, a complex GUI), you would need to make Scratch group or nest sprites together. Currently the only way to do that is by using a lot of math (it's exciting, though), like I have done in my project "Cluster".

If this is what you're after, please feel free to download and remix the sprites in that project to suit your needs.
