This isn't arguing, we're voicing our opinions. Also, if you can save up enough, cool! Some of us prefer not to, and to use that cash for other various things. I'm not trying to call anyone rich or poor. I would prefer to end this discussion between us two.

The Wii U is going to have a lot of games that will appeal to teenagers. Assassins Creed 3 will be released on the Wii U, along with Darksiders 2, Ninja Gaiden 3, a Battlefield game, Black Ops 2, etc. It will also have Mario, Zelda, and Metroid which are all amazing series.

The only good FPS I saw for the Wii was Metriod Prime: trilogy (they now sell the three games separate but my brother got the old 3 games in one disc). It used the fact that the wii remote is the best aiming tool out there. But, it was an import. From the Gamecube.

Look at the Xbox 360 avatars and tell me they are not cartoony.

We're not looking at how many games there are that are aimed towards kids. We're looking at the amount of games aimed towards teens, which the PS3 and Xbox360 have more of. Adding in the fact that PS3 and Xbox360 also have games aimed towards younger kids is just adding to the fact that they have a better game selection then the Wii.

I am almost.....a teenager, and I feel that fpses and sports games are a LOAD OF.....garbage. 
I prefer retro games, and games with inovative gameplay.
Like, fpses are the same games over...and over.....
While I will admit that other games are the same, they still change in a good way.
Like, NSMBwii was supposed to be the same as NSMBDS cause ti was a port, so it having changes was a suprise.
Also, PS3 had phineas and ferb, so ha. (Even though I like that show.)

Ok, you don't like FPS's. About two billion other people do. The people who are talking about FPS's here are not looking at individual wants and needs, they're looking at it like a company should look at it: Finding where the money is at. Right now, it's FPS's.

Sorry. Just stating my opinion, like the title suggests.
And I know. Game companies don't care whether it's fun, neccesarily. Just if it rakes in the dough.

My Wii is about to break, and I told my mom about this, and she said if my wii breaks, I might get a Wii U.

Look at the Miis and tell me they're not cartoony. At least you can customize your avatar better AND it looks more realistic. Basically that point is invalid.

I didn't say that miis weren't cartoony and there isn't a large amount of different between miis and avatars.

I don't want to argue anymore but I don't get the appeal of FPS's so why do you (and anyone else) like them?

Why do people like platformers? They're just jumping on some mushroom thingies!

Why do people like Tetris? It's just a bunch of falling blocks!

Why do people like fighters? They're just beating people up!

You were saying XBOX avatars were cartoony. Aren't Miis even more cartoony? You can customize your XBOX avy in so many ways, Miis just give him a colored shirt. No other shirts. No dogs for your Mii, etc.

And besides, I don't play First Person Shooters. But the sports games are way different. Have you played Madden 11 or 12 or the Wii? It's so bad I refuse to play it, and this was when I loved the Wii! Plus, on XBOX and PS3 you can play with your friends online IN ALL GAMES. Not just Mario Kart.

The answer to all of these is simple. They are all fun in their own ways, and which ones someone likes and doesn't like is left entirely up to them. I personally like them all. Is that so wrong? Gaming is gaming, no matter the genre. There is bound to be someone who does and someone who doesn't like a game/console.

I completely agree, but I think Nintendo needs to cater to teens. Because they don't, I'm mad at them.

Though I have to admit, I was more amazed than I thought I would be when Nintendo had their Wii U conference yesterday.
