@your comment: Before the unibody macbook pro, there were no laptops with design like that and before the air, there were no wedge design laptops. I think it's fair to say that Apple hold the rights to prevent other companies from stealing their designs.
Have you heard about that new MacBook? It's got a clamshell design. Clearly a ripoff of the GRiD Compass. How lame is it that Apple can't create a completely original design for their computers.
How can you say that Apple copied that? That isn't metal, it's not wedge shaped and it certainly doesn't have a keyboard like the Apple one.
Though the Macintosh portable does look slightly like it, but I don't see how it contributes to the current discussion. Most laptops looked the same back then.
I have to say, that was probably the worst excuse I've heard in memory. Okay, I think I'll quit this topic before I get banned.

Do you know how much Steve made? Do you know that he drove himself in a regular car and lived in a regular house wich was rarely locked?

He may not have lived with all of the luxuries of many CEOs, but it isn't like there was not money that could have been donated to charity, they have a 100 billion dollar surplus. They should use that money to either:
Improve working conditions in China at Foxconn or
Make them in the USA.
I know that there is a general outcry of people whenever we try to move manufacturing jobs back into the US, talking about how it will become more expensive and the company might not be able to handle it. Apple would be able to deal with it fine. It might not be an immediate shift- they would need to make a factory and find workers, but they have the money to do so.
For the consumers, they really should ask themselves if they would pay more for something made in America over a cheaper product made by abused workers in China.

Yea, a huge commercial computer company originally invented the concept of a mouse, and steve saw it's potential. MP3 players were very impractical before the iPod.
And yes, I love watching YT videos of people reviewing fake iPods/iPhones/iPads

The mouse was invented by Douglas Engelbart at the Stanford Research Institute. The first company to really market the mouse in the US was Xerox in 1981 and Microsoft and Apple followed suit in 1983 and 1984, respectively.

From what I read, Xerox never considered the mouse as a commercial product, but had an experimental branch working on it, which was where Steve first saw it.

Doesnt really matter, still not invented by Apple, so the point is still valid.
@veggieman: I think your signature is hypnotizing me.

Macs are much better organised with permissions and things. Windows is better for games and that's it. Macs are better for everything else.
Offline
Macs do have better permissions, but otherwise they're pretty similar. I prefer the Windows/Ubuntu style where closing all a program's windows closes the program; the fact that OS X doesn't do that is probably my biggest qualm against using it.
Offline
PC is great for accessibility and it's super easy to use although i'm a movie maker and I love media and Windows Movie Maker is so outdated and iMovie is far superior and that's why I prefer a mac. Although they suck for gaming...

I actually prefer quitting the application because many programs in Windows have background processes which are not quit when the windows are closed. With OSX, you have more control.

Most programs running in the background are useful. Steam, Skype, etc. Of course there is the bloat ware factor, but that is the result of either a bad OEM or users who just click "next" and don't uncheck the toolbars from being automatically installed by installers.
Ironically most of the games that I play run on OSX, being Minecraft, TF2, and Portal. But Left4Dead has been shown to actually run faster in Linux than Windows, and can't wait. If all of Valve's games (at least TF2 and Portal/2) are ported to Linux I may actually be able to switch to all Linux.
Edit: I understand that the main reasons Macs are not good for gaming are lack of the best GPUs and lack of DirectX support.

He bought a new similar car every time his car would be required to have a license plate.
If that's not doing silly stuff because your rich I don't know what is.

Once I saw an unboxing for the so called "iPhone 5". (It was before the 4S came out)
I'm pretty sure it was a 3...

What part are you saying is not true? I personally think the first and second are pretty true, but I disagree with the third.

I guess I was a bit too generalised with that statement. Sorry guys. Macs are better for productivity IMO though.
