Good, if the drum tracks are uploaded too, then this will be an important weekend for The Walruses!  smile

Edit: 400th post.

It shall, indeed.  big_smile

And I like the idea of putting having singles with an A-side and a B-side, as most of the Beatles' records did. It would then make it sound more like an actual 60's record.

And I remember the concert where John said "Thank you, Ringo." I heard it on the Anthology 2 album. It was pretty funny.  tongue

Also, great to hear you're going to work on the songs this weekend, jji.  big_smile

Yeah, I listen to my Anthology 2 CD more often than 1 and 3 combined I think!  tongue

Let's hope wlvesstar97 does upload the drum tracks as promised. Do you think you ought to remind him, All4one?

I've always wanted to do an A & B, which is why I thought I'd bring it up. Watch out for that from Frozen Coco soon as well with double singles!  big_smile

A & Bs are cool :3

EDIT: Even cassete tapes have side A and B, I wonder why CDs don't xD

The point is that you have two sides to it and you flip it over for the next side. CDs cannot be flipped since they have a label side and the side where the data is held.

There wouldn't be a point. The meaning is taken away. Also, it's a heck of a waste of space, seeing the capacity of a CD compared to a vinyl disk is large. That is why singles nowadays are sold online, not just on song burned on a CD.

Yeah, I've rarely seen CD singles around - the only time I can recall noticing one is when I saw one for "Rock and Roll Band" by Boston at Best Buy. I definitely didn't expect to see that there.  tongue

Also, sure, I'll remind wolvesstar97 about his/her (I think she's a girl) audition tape.  smile

Really? A CD single? Never seen one, wow...

And thanks about going to remind wolvesstar97 about the drum tracks.  smile

I've seen a few. This is years ago though, I haven't been to an independent CD store in ages. Probably they've all gone out of business.

I know, you don't see them quite often. And any time.  big_smile

I'm currently listening to some awesome mash-ups on YouTube of popular songs (right now it's a mash-up of "The Final Countdown" and "Smells Like Teen Spirit"), and I can link you guys to some Beatles-related ones if you want.

No problem! XD

I received a message from wolvesstar97 this morning saying that he/she's been pretty busy this week, so she might be a little late on sending in her audition tape - but she promises that she will get it in at one point.

Thanks. I'll leave the You Never Give Me Your Money out though, since we are trying to remain faithful to the original. And I've got it mastered of piano, so yeah.  tongue

Thanks again!

Yea... I prefer the guitar version... if you already have it on piano though, I guess you can just use that one  tongue

Ok, so will you be able to sing Yesterday this weekend and we can release it?

The dynamics on piano are what makes the song beautiful.  big_smile

I may or may not sing it this weekend depending on how soon I receive the drum tracks. If I receive them soon, I will prioritise mixing Here Comes the Sun, but if not, I'll focus my time on doing vocals for Yesterday.  smile

Nah, as All4one agreed, Here Comes the Sun is more stronger to release as a first single; it shows the overall band's performance, not just two members like you and me. That is why I suggested we release Yesterday as a B side to Here Comes the Sun.  smile
