It's a bit more expensive than the original Wii, but still a lot cheaper than the 360 and PS3 when they debuted. It seems reasonable considering everything that the Wii U is supposed to be. (Besides, if you don't want to pay that much, just wait a little while. It'll go down in price.)

Guys, the 3DO mentioned earlier had a $700 launch price.

I meant Ninetindo console. Oops.
I fixed it.
CheckItNow12 wrote:
That's $50 more than the Wii's (original) price. hmm
Well, it IS portable... Is it?
Yes. But look at the DS. It's a lot less.

I don't personally think that the Wii is worth that much.
Me either.
sanddude wrote:
It's just as much as an Xbox 360 250 GB and less than a PS3.
The Wii U is a generation ahead of those consoles.
Is it really that expensive?
Okay, No it is not, it just caught up, and Yes.

he probably was but that sort of doesnt make sense
Due to the fact that Hylian (*Not "Hyrulean") Rupees are a made-up currency, it would be a lot more of a challenge, if not impossible to convert. Of course I was talking about Indian rupees. :P

I have yet to hear of this console.
If you are refering to the 3DS, then no it was not. And I said that's the LEAST it could possibly cost. It's probably going to cost a good $50-$100 more.

This is a 3DO
What an awkward button line-up.

Well, there are a LOT of good features, like...
Playing Games... IN FULL HD!!!!
New Super Mario Bros. Mii
Draw on it (This might not sound cool, but I saw a REALLY awesome Zelda drawing in a video)
Controlled with Motion
Play across with the Wii U AND The TV
Make Video calls
So, yeah...
The second item belongs in the first item. And besides for portability, it's now pretty much an Xbox for younger players, with less memory, and Skype.

In what game?
The only games I own that have Beedle are Wind Waker and Skyward Sword.
The other games I have are Minish Cap, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess, Four Swords, Four Swords Adventures, and the original Legend of Zelda.

LOL no it's not. What are you talking about?
The Wii/360/PS3 are all part of the same generation. Yeah, some are more powerful than others, but they are from the same time period. The Wii U will be part of the NEXT generation of consoles, as it is a generation past the Wii.
The price isn't high for a console at all. In fact, I think it's a great price considering it's a generation above it's competition. We're just used to seeing lower from Nintendo.

Oooooh, I get it. Does that mean that the Wii was a late or early bloomer?
