We talked it over and decided that we do want to keep the alpha editor / website private. So please don't use it or share it with others, or try to find ways to access it in the future.
However, we are planning on doing another limited release during which we'll open it up to the whole community this coming August. When we reach beta, we may even keep it open for some time so we can get help finding and documenting bugs from members of AT and other communities on Scratch.I already know, along with a bunch of other people at THAT thread.
Oh, and same question:ftf841 wrote:

ugh. Trying to learn Python. Might leave Scratch community because of Scratch 2.0. It doesn't look too good. I still get rights to Pixel Magic and Jungle Demo and Block Bounce, Right? No, I'll probably stay on Scratch with the Bit Comp.

erm here's the problems:
Graphics were bad
All of the sounds were from the scratch folder
Programming included basic movement, basic detection, basic everything
So they can't be in the sound, graphics or programming departments
I don't think they're ready- so no
