imagine kaj that wants as much passwords as he can get. If he can put somewhere in the project some cloud variable will all passwords and usernames that tried his new RPG - someone will be stupid enough to use his real password!

Re: Scratch 2.0 Alpha

Oh yeah  tongue

There could be worse circumstances with the User ID, so IMO, I think we should have username  tongue

Because:

ask [What's your username?] and wait
[inappropriate word here]
and use the User ID to store that

If you were making a chat and it asks your username, you could enter something inappropriate, so whenever you enter something, it would show up, and we wouldn't know who it was  tongue

That doesn't make sense. How can they be a secret to you if you know about them?

I just like to call them secret, because they hid them

I think the block is going to cause a lot of Newer Scratchers spamming projects that simply display the number of days since 2000

would do that.

Not exactly accurate because a leap year has 366 days and a leap year is every 4 year.  tongue
I am sure there are ways around it though.

Re: Scratch 2.0 Alpha

Offtopic funfact: if the Mayans were right, then the world already would have ended about a year and a few months ago because the didn't take leap year into account.

Have fun on December 22nd.

Does anyone know how to log into the scratch alpha now without alpha site access? This site posts a method but It doesn't work for me.

what browser do you have?

It wasn't working for me either, but then I made the last (login) thing a bookmark (do that by highlighting the url with username and pass then drage to bookmark bar, use chrome) then click on it when you get there... Now I have 3 bookmarks, 1 for the site itself, the next to get it working and the last to make me log in.

In firefox, it doesn't work for me though.  sad  Have you tried it in firefox?

EDIT: I tried it in chrome, and it sort of worked, and I was able to figure out how to do it in firefox from that.  Its a little bit insecure though, because the password is in the bookmark.  Whats the javascript code for a prompt? Maybe I could make my bookmark prompt me for a username / password.
