Mercenaries for Scratch

I am thinking of making a Mercenarries game for Scratch, you will be able to hijack vehicles and boats, (im not sure about helicopters because it will be birds eye view)and there will be officers you can knock out and take down and you will be able to extract them (no missions, only free play) but i have 2 questions, i know these script will be complicating but does any experinced scratcher know how to make enemies smart enough to hide behind sand bags? and is there a way you can make enemies smart enough to walk into turrets and use them since you can?

-I have already made levels, vehicles, and have areas where i can put officers, but i want to make allied and enemy soldiers smarter, they seem to be walkin into walls and stuff

So it's a birds eye view or FP? Though you could check distanes and than have it "Decide" using random numbers whether to use it (or if you ar shooting at it)

I think this script could work for enemies to hide behind sandbags:
