Indeed it's only for 5 days... but that's still quite a while to experiment and try out the features. And after the 5-day time spam is ended, the Scratch Team will be able to read all of the feedback and get a better idea of what needs to be fixed and/or improved for when Scratch 2.0 is finally released.Let's hope there isn't an spam, and a time span instead.
Oops! Thanks for catching that mistake
Hehe, no problem.
Oh, and how read-only is the alpha version, Luc? Like, can you create an account, upload projects, or use the forums?

Can't wait! I'll probably be doing coverage of new blocks/features on my Youtube account: http://www.youtube.com/user/iAmNewlandBB?feature=mhee
You know, like what each block does, alternative uses etc.

Can I ask a couple of things?
1. Is the upload limit going to be increased from 10mb in 2.0? That was something that always annoyed me in Scratch.
2. Will all our projects and galleries be deleted when we move to 2.0? Or will Scratch 1.4 stuff be compatible?

1. i think they metioned that in the video.
2. They aren't changing the url, just the layout.
Everything will still be there.

Awesome! I would be able to create stuff that runs just like Kinect! I am fascinated by Kinect (I have it) and this would let me create like, sims of Kinect games and my own games! (Because Kinect for windows works like a webcam, it would be like a Kinect for Windows game!
Kinect is already for Windows as Windows made the Kinect.

2. Will all our projects and galleries be deleted when we move to 2.0? Or will Scratch 1.4 stuff be compatible? Nothing will be deleted (unless the owner deletes it). Some projects might not work the way they used to though.
